In Color Extravaganza

These cards are from my August class using the new In Colors! I think my favorite is the Rich Razzleberry card with the Baroque Motifs.
This card is so simple to make!

The Praying for You card uses the Thoughts and Prayers set and Soft Suede ink, cardstock and ribbon. I just put a small piece of white cardstock so you can see the scallop edge better, but you could also line the inside with white cardstock.

It's official! I LOVE the Big Shot! Here is a card I have been making lately with the Texturz plates. It is super simple and really wouldn't need any stamping at all if you were in a hurry. This card was made with Regal Rose, Whisper White, So Saffron cardstock and Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, and Rose Red Classic Stampin' Pads. For the small circles, I used a stamp from Itty Bitty Buds (Hostess Set) and used a circle punch to punch out the center of the stamped image.

Stamp a Stack

Recently, I hosted a Stamp a Stack and this is one of the cards that we did. I found it on splitcoaststampers.com and just fell in love with the contrast of the Riding Hood Red with the Pink Pirouette paper! I used the textured card stock and think the result is a simple yet elegant card that can be used for any occasion.

Personalize it!

Here are a couple of journals that I made for teacher gifts. You would be surprised how easy it is! I took apart a wire bound journal that I found in the $1.00 bin and covered it with paper.

You will want to use Sticky Strip to adhere the paper to the inside of the covers. For the monogram, I enlarged a font and made my own 'chipboard' by cutting it out of a cereal box. Super cheap AND eco friendly! Embellish with fibers or not - make it your own.

impression: a mark or indentation produced by pressure

Every day we are trying to make an impression on our kids, in our communities, and with the people we meet. I'm going to share some of my thoughts and ideas here and maybe it will help you make in impression on someone else. You might just be entertained along the way...
